Is Trym only for cultivation?
Yes, we pride ourselves on being the most robust cultivation management platform in the cannabis industry. Built from the ground-up with expert cultivators, Trym was custom-built to increase efficiency and productivity.
Where are you guys based?
We are a fully remote team with employees all across the US. Trym was founded in the San Francisco Bay Area, where our founders still live.
How long have you been around?
Since early 2018.
Do you outsource development?
No! All of our software is developed in-house. We pride ourselves in our code!
Integrations W/Software + hardware
What track-and-trace software do you integrate with?
Currently we integrate with Metrc in all states that have selected Metrc to be their compliance software. A Biotrack integration is on the roadmap, so stay tuned!
Does your platform integrate with other software and tools?
Trym is seamlessly integrated with LeafLogix and Dutchie for full seed-to-sale functionality.
We also integrate with environmental sensors by Aranet, Growlink, TrolMaster and Argus Controls.

What hardware do I need to use Trym?
- Trym can be used effectively for compliance and team management without any hardware. To get even more value from Trym, you can choose to select from the integrated hardware and software below.
- For environmental data and crop steering, Trym is integrated with Aranet, TrolMaster, Growlink, and Argus Controls. In order to integrate your sensor data into Trym, you will have to purchase sensors from these providers. If you already have one of these systems – you could be a great fit for Trym!
- For Touchless Harvesting, Trym integrates with Ohaus scales.
What kinds of sensor data does Trym track?
Can I control my irrigation or environmentals using Trym?
Currently, Trym doesn’t perform environmental controls, we are a monitoring-only platform for now. However, we integrate with Growlink, TrolMaster, and Argus which offer control options.
Do I need a barcode or RFID scanner?
- Trym’s mobile app can scan plant tag barcodes and lets you take action like changing growth phase, moving, destroying, or harvesting. Our customers love the ability to perform daily Metrc actions in our mobile app.
- Trym does not use RFID technology for plant and tag tracking. We talk about the pros and cons between barcode and RFID scanning in this article.
Software
What does Trym cost?
- Pricing plans are based on canopy size. We have Metrc and Non-Metrc plans, depending on if you need our compliance functionality. To get a quote for your operation, schedule an intro call today.
- A Non-Metrc facility under 10K sqft starts at $400. A Metrc facility under 10K sqft starts at $650. Pricing increases for larger grows or multiple facilities. Contact us for a custom quote.
What kind of payment plans does Trym offer?
Trym is offered on an annual and multi-year contract basis, but we have flexible payment schedules to accommodate business needs.
Does Trym handle accounting and finances?
No, however through our partnership with LeafLogix and Dutchie, customers can access accounting features
How does Trym protect my data and privacy?
- We have secure data storage on AWS, the leading provider for many software companies. Under no circumstance do we share personal information for any commercial or marketing purpose unrelated to the delivery of Trym Products and services without asking you first. We do not rent or sell our customer lists.
- We may from time to time analyze aggregate data from all Trym customers to understand and report on usage and trends. See our Privacy Policy for more information.
How to get started
What does the onboarding process look like?
Every operation is at a different stage and has different priorities, so we try to be accommodating to an organization’s needs. We’ll start with a kickoff meeting to align on your usage needs and expected goals. Then, we follow up throughout your implementation process until your team is fully onboarded. Then, throughout the year, we continue checking in to provide additional support as needed.
What about additional training?
- As long as we are providing value to our customers, we are happy to continue meeting with your team to support your operation.
- We have a ‘train the trainer’ approach. The manager of the cultivation team should be comfortable with sharing the internal process to their existing and new team members. If our customer has new managers or a lot of new employees, we’re happy to hold workshops for the team.
